Foraging field notes

Never lose a good spot again.

Mushrooms, berries, nuts: mark where you found them, record your route, log what you picked, and check the weather before you go. Everything stays privately on your device.

The My Wild Patch map, satellite view, with a compass strip across the top and saved mushroom, berry and chestnut spots marked across a wooded coastline
The harvest log, listing entries such as huge chestnuts and sweetest blueberries grouped by month, each with a date and a weight
What it does

Everything worth returning to, in one place.

Save any spot worth going back to — a chestnut tree, a porcini patch, a blueberry bush, a stretch of wild strawberries.

Mark your spots

Drop a pin the moment you find something, with a name, a type, a photo and the exact coordinates. Next season, walk straight back.

Harvest log

Record what you actually picked at each location, so you can compare years, track yields, and learn when a spot is worth the trip.

Recorded paths

When the find is a route rather than a point — a trail lined with strawberries, a slope covered in chestnuts — record the whole path.

Map & compass

Saved locations on a map you can switch between terrain and satellite, plus a compass showing the direction you are heading.

Weather

Current conditions and a forecast for where you are, so you can decide whether today is the day to go out.

Private by design

No account, no server, no copy of your data. Locations, paths, harvests and photos live only in the app's storage on your device.

Take it with you next time.

My Wild Patch is available on Android. Built by one developer who kept forgetting where the good wild asparagus was.
